In our pre production new media technologies played a significant use in helping us prepare for our music video.
Research and planning was initially our start in preproduction to give us enough knowledge and foundation to start on our music video. we started this research using the most popular search engine, (a web search engine is software code that is designed to search for information on the World Wide Web) Google as a means for most of our research as google would allow us to access important information specific to our research task. This was used for e.g. when i was researching the ideas for our music video( http://hurtwoodmedia11sienenelsonjaja.blogspot.co.uk/2012/09/research-for-3-initial-ideas.html )we searched pictures using google. I personally used this to research on similr bands to placebo such as radio head and with wikipedia i could get relevant information on this band and apply it to some of my tasks. http://hurtwoodmedia11sienenelsonjaja.blogspot.co.uk/2012/10/radio-head-similar-band-to-placebo.html . I used software such as youtube to further my research on similar bands to our and placebo such and similar ideas of surrealism such as 'i fink you freaky'.
My primary means of digital technology i used through out the stages of pre production was the use of blogger. Blogger acted as a diary to which i would record my progress and all the relevant information to my campaign. With blogger i could show helpful evidence of my I. Blogger is a blog-publishing service that allows private or multi-user blogs with time-stampedresearch that helped me to reach my final product which was the music video produced by my group and entries. Blogger also permitted my veiwers to access othe media technologies such as twitter. for example when promoting placebo (the band for our song. similar to our band) i linked placebos twitter page to my blog so when veiwers read information on placebo they could also further their knowledge by going on their twitter pages and updating on their recent activities, which was also important for my group and I.
We also used digital cameras in the making of our story board animatic and ofcourse in making our end product which was our music video running up that hill. in filming the Anamatic i used my iphone to film each shot and used final cut pro in the editing process to piece everything together in and in filming the real music video we could used professional digital cameras and in editing we used final cut pro to piece everything together and extra effect and used a recording software to record parts of our editing process so we could put evidence in our blog to show how we edited and the problems we encountered. http://hurtwoodmedia11sienenelsonjaja.blogspot.co.uk/2012/10/my-storyboard-animatic.htmlResearch and planning

Post Production
In our post production process we created a digipack cover and poster with the help of the software photoshop. Phtoshop allows you to edit pictures use effects, crop, resize etc. it helped me come out with a brilliant final end product.
I used slide rocket and power point to present my work onto blogger which was involved in the post process process. i also used wiks to edit my website for our campaign this improved my creativity ability as i had never made a website before, so i learned new things from this. Wix.com is a freemium online platform that allows users to create HTML5 websites, mobile sites and customized Facebook pages, through the use of "Drag & Drop" tools.I used prezi in presenting very important task in the post production stage.
Prezi is a cloud-based (SaaS) presentation software and storytelling tool for exploring and sharing ideas on a virtual canvas. Prezi is distinguished by its Zooming User Interface (ZUI), which enables users to zoom in and out of their presentation media. Prezi allows users to display and navigate through information within a 2.5D space on the Z-axis.
Excellent so far. Well done. i would write about and upload my animatic under the heading of research and planning. I would also upload the time-laspe of the shoot day to show how digital technology helps make a record of what you achieved.
ReplyDeleteWhilst editing your video you also record the process on the macs. this can also be uploaded and and commented upon. Add a final paragraph which demonstrates decision making with the digital technology and creativity and progress made.
